pig out day~food in Omotesando

Happy Umi no hi~
a.k.a Ocean Day

A holiday to commemorate the voyage that the Japanese Emperor made in 1876.
A national holiday which only means one thing = NO SCHOOL

i took this day to hang out with David and Karina in omotesando.
There must be a festival in Harajuku because when i transferred change in harajuku there were sooo many people and theres barricades and all.

anyway, i went out to "Cafe Madu" in Aoyama/Omotesando where we had wine and i had this fabulous

French Toast with Caramelized banana



Then we went over to the Chocolate bar nearby "cacao sampaka"



and had this amazing dark chocolate mousse cake and wine to compliment it




After our stomachs were filled and we were stuffed, we head on to David's apartment in Shinjuku which is gorgeous by the way and did i mention he has 2 cats! both of the Persian family.
the purpose for today was actually to do our mass media project which we decided on a radio show since its easy and fast to do. we did our recording at his place and my part was "celebrity gossip" which i unfortunately am obsessed with. i can score a easy 100 if there was ever a celebrity gossip pop quiz.

Not forgetting dinner, we head on over to a Indian restaurant for some nan and curry!
I even had tapioca tea! aka Bubble tea wooooohooooo



I'm sooooo stuffed now. just came back to my apartment and i have to rush out my history essay >_< booooo.
Anyway, i'm pretty sure i gained like 5pounds from all the eating i did


happy umi no hi again~ tons of folks take this holiday to head on to the beach for a nice holiday. i might do that next year! the beach sounds nice with this beautiful summer weather.

After Mid terms

Hey Y'all

Before i post my Halloween stuff i wanna first do my after mid-term post!
I know~ i was suppose to update alot earlier but i had my mid-terms~

Which i did great by the way! yay me!
i'm such a nerd when it comes to studying, i love studying >_<

In school with Marina~
i finish class at 3pm on fridays and we're just sitting around for hours waiting for everyone else to finish class.




it was almost 8 when we got to the Izakaya in Shinjuku
there was a bunch of us almost 15 of us and we had to seperate into 2 tables which is always a bore. im not a fan of table separation, everyone goes off into small groups that way.




Yuki and Kan started pole dancing after a few drinks
i have a video, but due to viewer discretion and for your own good i'm not gonna post it up ^_^



We left to play billiard after that.
i have played billiard once in my entire life. i was so pathetic....
plus i'm left handed and i've got the shortest hands EVER.



and the Yuki + Kan drunk fest continues

Ramen

I love Ramen in Japan, especially when its cold~

Check out the cute store with customers getting their own individual booth.
every booth had a water dispenser which you can get water from.

you have to fill up a form with the spiciness, texture of noodles and stuff like that and pass that on to the staff. how cute~




I live in the Ikebukuro area which has tons of good ramen store around.

Season changing

Hey Y'all

Autumn has finally decided to grace Tokyo with her cool breeze~
It has gotten a lot cooler this past week. and it sure came as a surprise.

after the Typhoon passed Tokyo on Wednesday, temperatures dropped by a good 10degrees since.
oh did i mention classes were cancelled wednesday afternoon due to the typhoon, train lines were shut down and plenty of commuters were stranded into the night.
thank god i went home early and cooped myself in with a hot cuppa cocoa.


anyway here are updates of whats been happening the past few weeks.
School started and i loveee school. the teachers are great and the students are really nice.
its nice to hang out with kids my age, well most of them are younger than me so more often than not i feel like the big sister to em kids.

Last week, Marina turned 22 and a couple of us went to the bar lounge American in Shibuya for her birthday dinner.

Takashi~ with the mic. poor Takashi is always the object of teasing despite the fact he's 22 and the oldest of us all. for some lord knows reason, he decided to wear a suit to the dinner. got us ALL confused but thats Takashi for you~ ^_^ we love you Sode~!

After dinner, some of us headed on to the 2nd location. we went to a izakaya in Shibuya.



me and Shogo~ little boy's 19~ i've made so many lil brothers here hahaha.
Shogo got smashed that night.

the few of us went on to muse that night and everyone besides yours truly got absolutely smashed. i had my fair shares of crazy night and i'm on a path of sobriety. yeah... lol

Sushi

Hey Dolls~

The weather is slowly getting cooler in Tokyo now~ thank goodness.
I honestly thought i would die from the extreme heat.

I had a awesome sushi lunch with Hitomi in Ikebukuro yesterday.
Sushi cant be compared anywhere else. Its always better in Japan hehe



oh and i'm finally moving into my new apartment next month.
i found a really nice place 3mins away from the station which is convenient and safe.
I cant wait to move in and decorate my place.

But for now, school starts tomorrow finally.
I'm actually excited to be going back to school. haven been in school for 4years now.
Last time i studied was Japanese and i was 17 back then.

Got my semester classes registered and i took a music appreciation and history elective on the side, which im nervous yet looking forward to.
Took the college placement test the other week... almost died cause i haven written a bloody essay in almost 6years now and i cant for my fucking life remember how to construct a essay.
but THANK GOD everything went smoothly and i somehow managed to skip both the reading and writing workshop and go straight into the major courses.

on a completely different note,
CONGRATS to Beyonce on being pregnant with her first child with Jay Z.
With that, i love her new song

Hot and humid

Hot and Humid~
The only way to describe Tokyo as it is now.

Going on a 35degree ( 95 fahrenheit) daily, i feel like i'm being baked every second i'm outside.
the humidity level doesnt make things easy for us either.

BUT even with that said, i'm ecstatic to be back in Tokyo!!!
I Love this place, i love the people, i couldnt feel more at home.

Plus Hitomi's in Tokyo as well. she's here for the summer while school's out. so i get to spend august with her!

we had chinese food the other day and man i cant get enough of chinese food~

yakiniku and Muse~

Hey Y'all

Its been a week!!
how's the week treating everyone?

I went to have Yakiniku 焼肉 (Barbeque Meat) on saturday night with a few buddies~
I love yakiniku! seriously, i'm such a big meat person.

We went to this restaurant in Yutenji which is somewhere along Ebisu/shibuya area.
I forgot the name of the place though #_#...

But yay for Yakiniku!!

Check out this 3 second roast! you gotta barbeque it for 3seconds on each side!

This one's the 6 second roast. the marination is brilliant!
it was soooo dang gooooood




and we also had the 高級 meat. which is a cool name for expensive roast.
anyway its like 3000yen for like 4 chunks of meat.




Thank god we chose to have yakiniku for dinner. i cant imagine going out to a club after eating
ramen or curry. we kept our dinner light and easy.

And we headed off to MUSE. which is a highly recommended club over at Nishi Azabu.
about 10mins walk from Roppongi station.
its my 3rd time there and my friends know all the staff real well, so we're well taken care of.



me and Ashley (her nickname), she's one of the resident DJ over at Muse.
she's the cutest thing ever!! it was her birthday that week! so we had champagne ALL night long!

(sorry bout the bad quality picture though... took it with a friend's phone and so.. couldnt do much editing with it...)


Anyway, i made a quick update video before heading out that night.
..i decided to curl my hair only after doing the video.. so my hair's straight in it >_<~~~

Erina cyan

Hey Y'all

How's the week been for everyone!?

Tokyo has gotten crazy cold over the last 2days!
The weather has dipped from a healthy 15degree to a cold cold 6degree....i'm sooo not getting used to the cold.


anyway, i went out with Erina-cyan the other day!!
I've not seen this little cutie since Summer (july-august-ish) and we had a blast hanging out~

We went for Karaoke



Erina is a huge anime otaku like myself~hehehe
she belted out like 5 of Hatsune miku songs~ oh btw the little girl can sing! the voice is soooo dang cute~


Then we of course went for a purikura session!
her friends recommended her this new machine and oh my lord is it good! they do alot of the stuff for you so you basically just have ta take the picture and thats it. love it

Its crazy how much they "enlarge" your eyes for you! i think its way too much but oh well.





By the way Erina is in the 2nd year of high school! man!!

i wanna study in a Japanese high school! i wanna wear the blazer uniform soooo badly! and get myself a cute high school boyfriend..... go and dates, shopping and karaoke!!! *dreaming.....***

We ended off the day with CREPE (yummy!) and a shopping trip at ANIMATE!!
they've got sooo many new stuff coming in! i made reservations for a few new goods that are coming in next month! the Hakuouki goods are coming in soon!! omg!! i cant wait!!
